MaidPop is a service of ZenMaid, Inc. (“MaidPop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use MaidPop and our website at maidpop.io, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it plain on purpose.
Who this covers
Two groups of people interact with MaidPop, and this policy covers both:
- Customers. Cleaning-business owners who create a MaidPop account and add a popup to their website.
- Website visitors. People who submit their details through a MaidPop popup on a customer’s website. We handle that lead information on the customer’s behalf.
Information we collect
From customers, when you sign up and use MaidPop: your name, email address, company name, city, and the settings and offers you configure. If you upgrade to Pro, our payment processor collects your payment details (we do not store full card numbers ourselves).
Lead information captured by your popup: when a visitor submits a MaidPop popup on your site, we collect the details they enter, typically a name and an email address or phone number, and pass that lead to you. We act as a processor of this information on your behalf; you are responsible for how you use the leads you collect.
Usage and device data: basic technical information such as your browser type, device, and how you interact with our dashboard, so we can keep the service working and improve it.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve MaidPop.
- To deliver captured leads to you by email and, if you set it up, by webhook to your other software.
- To process payments for Pro and manage referrals.
- To respond to your questions and send you important service messages.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell the lead information captured through your popup.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us run MaidPop (for example, our payment processor, hosting, and email delivery), and only as needed for them to do that work. We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. We do not share your leads with anyone other than you.
Cookies
Our website and dashboard use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. The MaidPop popup on a customer site uses only what it needs to display the popup and capture a lead.
Data retention
We keep customer account information for as long as your account is active, and lead information for as long as you keep it in your account or as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit access to it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Website visitors who submitted a lead through a customer’s popup should contact that business directly, since the business controls those leads; we will assist the business in responding. International visitors
MaidPop is operated from the United States, and information may be processed there and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we take steps to protect information transferred across borders.
Children
MaidPop is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know.
